Sunny Ōtaki

 Ōtaki is my home. It is a great place to come to. The cafe's are great and the beach is beautiful.

Ōtaki got its nickname from its beautiful beach. Sometimes the water is so cool and refreshing. We also have a gorge to jump we like to jump into. The rivers are cool to dive or manu in.

There are pretty neat cafes here as well as restaurants. We have kiss and bake up, Sunlong, The nest and Red cafe. Kiss and bake up are most known for their gingerbread men. Sunlong and the nest make the best fish'n'chips in Ōtaki.

      I think Ōtaki is such a beautiful place and I hope you like it as much as I.

My Awesome, Un-exciting But Ok Weekend

In my weekend, I stayed with my dad. I mainly watched movies though. On Sunday, I went to the Spring Fair in Foxton. I met up with my cousins there and played some paintball where you have to hit the targets. I won obviously.

We had stuff to eat and then went home. We watched TV and played games. Mostly hide and seek though. My aunty gave me an authentic Kobe Bryant top. When we played hide and seek, the dogs kept giving away our hiding spots! We got bothered so much. When my little cousin hid behind a bush, the dogs would follow him so he would be found first.

On my last day at my dads, I watched a documentary about our ancestors meeting aliens. Did you know the top of mt Olympus, the palace in greek mythology could have been a UFO. The most magnetic place in the world are where the UFO sightings are and they are all in a straight line around the world. There are also villages from england to france, named after stars in a straight line.

My weekend was awesome! I was so glad to see my dad.

My Cool Drawings

The last 4 days I have been drawing a lot of cool stuff, like this for instance.

I've had a reliever this week and we were allowed to draw a lot. I spent most of that time drawing graffiti. I didn't even trace my drawings! Drawing graffiti is my favourite. I only looked online and tried to copy it, it was kinda difficult though. I also just copied the letters and made my own words. Some of the things I did on my own. I also mixed stuff up to make my own.

Basketball The Sport Of The Ages

Basketball is the bomb🏀! It is very competitive. The main idea is trying to get the ball through the hoop. You also have to bounce the ball all the way to the hoop.

You have 12 players on your team, 5 of them are on the court. You can shoot or layup on the hoop and you can get three points depending on how far you shoot.
It feels so good when you score a goal when your playing.You can do all kind of tricks. You can dunk and you can dribble through your legs.Dribbling is when you bounce the ball. A dunk is when you jump at the hoop and slam the ball in.

There are real awesome players out there like LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. They are some of the greatest players in the world! You could also cross someone, which is technically just dribbling around someone. Some tactics are to pass around the ball until you get and opening to shoot or to just to shoot and get the rebound.

It's competitive fun and exercising in one major sport. It may not be for everyone but it might be for you.

My holiday

One and a half weeks ago, on Friday, me, mum and Tereora went down to Napier to stay with Jenny Ludlam. She has two children, their names are Ruby and Jordie. Jordie is older than Ruby. Ruby and Jordie have a dog named buddy. He was so cute and little and when you sat down with you legs apart, he would come running to you. Friday night we played spotlight with some other kids down the street. Out of all the nights we had played spotlight, I had only been in once! On the second to last day, we went to Waimarama beach. It was so beautiful. It hadn't rained till we left on Sunday which was weird.

Before we left to go to Napier, we were staying in Taupo at our holiday house bought by me and Tereora's Great-Grandfather. We stayed there for four days before leaving for Napier. We went to the pools three days in a row. We didn't really do anything exciting but we did go to the movies to see 'Abominable'.

Yesterday, me, Tereora and my dad visited my cousins down in Porirua. I mostly played on the PS4 but I still had a good time. Me and my little cousin Jaqodah  played Arena on Fortnite Creative. Jaqodah put traps all around my spawn area and I got so annoyed! I also got to see my brother who I haven't seen in a year!
